Self-Portrait Project
I worked with Andy Lin, a National Geographic award-winning photographer, to help create a mobile app that would serve as a social platform for an art project that encourages individuals to “tell their own visual story, on their own terms” via a camera rig that reinvents the classic photo-booth. The project utilizes an hd camera behind a one-way mirror with a remote that users control to take photos in the moment with instant feedback. I concepted functionality of a mobile app that replaced the controller in the users hand with a phone + app that interfaces with a Raspberry Pi micro-computer to trigger the camera, send the photo to the user and let them share on a social feed within the app.
